Today is the Beginning of Beginnings

They're coming back!!!! The television shows, that is! It's almost time for the fall season of television and I am excited.

Most network evening shows are coming back in two weeks during the September 20-somethings, but a few are starting now. This morning was the first episode of the 15th season of The View, and I am a huge fan. Then tonight, season 3 of the Rachel Zoe Project. I don't watch a lot of reality television, but this is one of my favorite shows in life. I cannot WAIT to see the high fashion, digest every outfit the stylists personally wear, and admittedly, to get a little bit of drama when they don't think they're going to get the "perfect gown" or when the photo shoot isn't going as planned.

Other shows I love are Giuliana and Bill (the only other reality show I watch), Combat Hospital, Modern Family, and Cougar Town. But I will never admit the last out loud.

I should add that my most favorite is Barefoot Contessa, followed closely by Giada, Sarah's House (HGTV) and Dear Genevieve (also HGTV). These aren't network shows but boy, do I love them!

And while we have been able to follow all of the network shows on our Hulu Plus account, we have decided to cancel our Hulu and Netflix instant streaming/dvd accounts, and put that money plus $20 more a month and just get cable. Directv has a great deal out right now and we are missing our shows big time!!! Especially Food Network and HGTV. So cable television, we are coming back!!! Oh, how we have missed you.

  1. This cracks me up. A year and a half ago we did the same thing; cancelled our cable because it was too much and we felt like we didn't watch much tv anyway. Uh-Huh. One month after we got Direct TV as well because they promised us a great deal, HA!

I'm very excited for the Fall line-up. So many good, promising shows! Hope the ones I invest in don't get cancelled. My reality guilty pleasure is Project Runway, Big Fat Gypsy Wedding and Russian Dolls. And Yo Gabba Gabba. Just kidding. I think I might pick up on Rachel Zoe Project! Have no clue why I didn't watch it before...
